Haven't updated the journal in a long time. I think I'll keep this Journal related only to art and not my life. I have a life blog for a reason. lol

I recently updated and got 3D Studio Max 9. I'm really enjoying the cloth and fur plugins.
I'm still not doing so well when it comes to rigging and animation. I can always get the bones set up or use a bipe with the skin modifier... but then after I animate everything, i have export errors when it comes to sending them to DSQ file for the Torque Engine.

I'm sure it has something to do with the skin modifier and it being 3DS 9

If anyone has any good tutorials or idea how to really get a grasp on this, let me know!

In the mean time, still coming up with character model ideas and weapon/item designs. Those are always so easy for me... but skinning is always such a big problem for me... I can't EVER seem to unwrap UV very well... I always try to use the modifiers.. I gotta get a good grip on that as well.

Is Z brush any good for this?? I'm not so sure about this, but I've heard good things about it.
